VIN information from GMC

Hey guys - a while back, I remember hearing of someone who has connections with GM and might be able to get the factory history of specific Syclones and Typhoons. I'm very interested in this, as I understand my Ty was used in some Executive program at GM before being sold to the original owner. It also has a few details on it that appear unique. So, is anyone with this capability out there?

Merk, who is part of the sportmachines.com team, has kind of eased his way into the position as Historian for the entire Sy/Ty community. You can try asking him, though he has SO much information we can only hope he can dig the stuff up on yours specifically! :grin:

either that or he is talking about Josh (Tooky). Either way, from what I understand, the 1992 Truck information is no longer is GMs computer? something like that?

you ever find out why your grill letters are different then regular red or black ones that ya usually see?
