Re: Under Hood Wiring Harness
What is screwed up? The underhood harness is split into 3 plugs on the firewall by the booster. One goes to the headlights and foglights, one carries some power and what not on a 3 wire plug, and the other one is the main line across the firewall to the ECM. Many of the wires you see in that huge bundle running on top of the booster just run from the ECM on the passengers side, into the engine bay, across the firewall, and to the plug on the drivers side, and the ones that dont are connected to various sensors. Does it act funny, or does something just plain old not work? I'm doing my whole engine bay, and as scary as it sounds, it really isn't bad once you commit to it and get involved. There's a pile of sensors and plugs, and they all run back to the ECM. The diagrams show the wire colors, and the ECM plug diagram shows where they are to be connected. It's just a scarier version of putting the round peg in the round hole and square peg in the square hole.
