SEC is security. in this mode the truck can't be started. good for preventing theft. you can't start your truck in this mode. if you turn it to SEC when drivnig it will kill the engine. not sure what STK and STK+ are. T116= T1 is for timing 1 and the 16 is for 16 PSI boost. the higher the first number after the T the more timing in that program. so T217 has more timing them T117. but both have 17 PSI. the 2nd and 3rd number after the T is always how much boost PSI that program is trying to run. do not run anything with T2 or T3 on your truck unless you are running race fuel or alky and know it is not knocking. datamater is a must when using these settings. no idea what 800 and ems are. val=valet is used when you have someone else drive it. like garage that is working on it. and dont let anyone work on it or you will regret it!!! i think it is supposed to cut back on performance.

First of all you have a 10-1 chip, not an Ultimate. This chip uses the stock MAP sensor, not a 3 bar like the Ultimate.

The EMS setting is for emissions, and the 800 setting is the same as the
T1-16 but with an 800 rpm idle speed.

Thanks for the reply, but I am sure the that I have a 3 bar map on the ty because I also have a 2 bar off the ty and the model or part #s are different from each other. Also with the T116 or T117 setting it goes over 15 psi. If I really have the 10-1 chip what is a better one to get for a stock engine with the basic mods.

Jamerjoe,

If you have another boost gauge, the way to tell if you have a 3 bar is to compare vacuum and boost readings. The gauge on your factory dash will read less than your mechanical or add on vacuum/boost gauge.

Numbers on the MAP just mean that it is different.

Maybe that helps.

not stock
if you had a 3bar map, and went over 15psi according to you stock boost gauge....you'd be hitting about 30psi. I doubt you have a 3bar map.

The 10-1 chip will control boost up to 17.5 psi.

This chip will not run well with a 3 bar MAP. The test described above will tell you what you really have.

Turn the engine off, but the key on. If the stock gauge is at 0, you have a 2 bar sensor. If it's below 0 (approximately -10, I think), then you have a 3 bar sensor.
