Hey guys small problem ty was running ruff after start up today so i let her warm up and take her for a drive thinking its time for a tune up or shes just being more cold natured than normal anyways when into a drive through at taco hell and she starts idling really ruff and dies so i start her back up and same thing but this time i look out the back and black smoke coming from the tail pipe and a really bad smell of sulfer or rotton eggs .well i give it alittle gas so i might get to limp it home and the black smoke gos away and shes running alot better .I didnt get into it to see if it was all the way back to right but any ideas what was up with that i thought that maybe there was carbon or somthing that had come lose and burned off cause it didnt smell like burning oil.thanks for any help

sounds like it is running to rich. the sulphur smell is a result of your catalytic converter getting up to operating temp, and burning off residual hydrocarbons
old/stale/separted fuel can cause this. could also need a tune-up! o2 sensor?

check your codes.

it may sound stupid but my friends car was doing the same thing....check your battery cables and battery and make sure everything is tight, his had a bad connection , messing with the computer and fueling
