I've seen TurboTweak's work in several trucks and decided to buy one for my Sy.

For those who don't know, you can adjust a bunch of settings by pressing the gas pedal and watching values on a datalogger. Pretty cool, but I was thinking a phone app specifically for the chip would be cool, and I'm trying to convince Eric to work on the hardware side, and I'd build the phone app side.

I'm not sure how hard/expensive it would be to integrate a new bluetooth or wifi module into the existing chip architecture (this may be completely unrealistic)

If it was reasonable I would have bought it with my chip for sure. At $145, personally I believe their current price point is basically free.

Anyway, looking for feedback on if this is something you guys would want, and if so - how much would you be willing to spend? $100, $75? $50? $10

I can do some mockups of the app if there's interest.

Sounds like good plan. App is more easier to access than laptop.

The TT chip is on my short list for upgrades and I'd be in up to $100 more. Phone/tablet is much easier to tote around than a laptop and cable. Great idea!

If you want to get really fancy add data logging. Great idea though. Just remember that changing settings on-the-fly is illegal under NHRA. Might be difficult to accomplish anyway.

I'd buy it just to be cool. Seriously though, I've been considering the chip for some time. And to Ian's point, it's cheap. Add logging capabilities and you have a $650 Cobb Accessport, and I love mine. I would absolutely have something similar for the Ty...Jim

Bluetooth chips for Arduinos are around $20. But these are fully designed and production ready boards. I bet the bluetooth itself is even cheaper.

I'm currently figuring out an Arduino setup for my LS swap. It has a nice 3" touch screen display and it uses the ELM327 chip for all OBD operations.

This would be awesome, especially for the Turbo Buick version. The buick would benefit greatly as this would allow for faster data display directly from the computer instead of the slow-poke ALDL port. Do it! I'd pay $50 for that upgrade... not stingy, just no deep pockets.

I would pay $100 for the hardware. A cool feature that should be in the app is that it can save the settings in the app so that if you have to pull the battery out, the settings on the chip are lost and you can quickly connect the app again and 'restore' the settings you had. This would be interesting.

I haven't seen the Scanmaster G, that thing is pretty awesome (more desirable then the Scanmaster 3 IMO).

And just to clarify, the idea for this app/feature wouldn't be about displaying data logging values on a phone. There are several options for that already.

This is simply about making the settings of the volosyty chips easy to see, set and restore without needing any equipment you don't already have in your pocket.

then just buy a tune saver- set it & forget it- don t need anything in your pocket
