Turbo Transport Lag tables= delay function?

Hi guys,
Anyone happen to know if these tables have something to do with addressing the normal spool-up delay with turbos that blowers don't have? Noticed on TY readings boost comes up slow so may be why am getting 10-15 deg KS spike. My map goes straight up to max before RPM starts to increase.

Plaese let me know if this forum is SYTYs only or ok for just SYTY code.

Thanks,

Bob

It's cool to discuss non- syty apps using the syty ecm/code. Good stuff, I've always wanted to do it.

Which table are you referring to exactly?

Hi Brian,
The tables are 2, 1xRPM and 1xMap. Appear to be multiplyers or delay timers. They are in Tables on TC. Can try to find in Promgrammer if want to get addresses. Thought might be modifyers to slow increase of inj pw or timing retard. Where labeled Turbo, possibly messes up cals with instant boost blower applications.

Fishing for anything that makes a diff on my 383. I believe "Grasping at Straws" might be correct terminology.

Also tried to send you a private mess. but didn't do right. Also sent reg e-mail about possible Ultimate 2-bar.

Brian,

I'll try. Promgrammer shows as 1-line tables with sec as units.

0x03FB F24 Transport Lag vs RPM (NTRPLD)
0x03F1 F23 " " vs MAP (NMAPLD)

Tuner Cat shows

Turbo Transport Coefficient vs MAP or vs RPM
Map table scales from 20-100KPA and ranges 375-200ms.

Does that help

I'm at work, and don't have my chip info handy, but I'm almost positive that neither of those have anything to do with boost control.

Offhand, I want to say they are closed loop fueling control tables, delays built in for the integrator based on absolute manifold pressure.

Ah yes, here it is.. found some info on my work computer. Clip from THE DOC...

The above sequence continues as long as the system is operating in closed loop and the integrator
reset mode is not enabled. The following paragraphs describe the various aspects of the
integrator and integrator delay function in detail.
9.1.7.2.2.1.1 Transport Delay Time Calculation
The transport delay time is calculated as the sum of two terms.
MAP term - the MAP contribution to transport delay time is obtained from the *F23* table, as a
function of MSP (Manifold Absolute Pressure).
RPM term - the RPM contribution to transport delay time is obtained from the *F24* table, as a
function of engine speed.
The value of transport delay time is limited to a value less than or equal 6.375 seconds will result
in the integrator never being updated

Thanks Brian,

Have tried to read the P4 Doc several times when searching for learn enable criteria but missed that one. Most of the terminology you guys and that Doc use is stuck about 4 feet over my head on wall.

Thanks for info in English.

PS. When you get an answer to a post, are you supposed to delete the post to clear clutter?

Coming from a non-techie, please don't delete the post. It's nice to post that the problem was resolved so that people don't keep trying to solve a problem that no longer exists. If you leave the topic up with what did and didn't work, other people can search and find the info later. I want as much info as possible available to me when I do a search...

Bill,

Sounds like a program to me! I felt same way about searching because don't want to "open mouth-insert foot" by posting on forums. Just didn't want to step on any toes.

Have a good one

Bob
