do any intake/exaust mods as of late or anything else that'd make it louder? Turbos do have a tendancy to whine, listen to a diesel. Other then that I'd check oil pressure to the turbo, if it's off then I don't like the ideas of what could be wrong myself. Check this site, it's got a troubleshooter guide to turbos.

There are a few things you can do to baby your turbo a bit, a BOV is one (no not one of those loud ass annoying ricer ones, I've heard 1G DSM stock ones are good and hold 23 PSI or so) another free idea is to let it idle a minute or two before you shut the engine down, what this does is prevent the hot shaft of the turbo from being caked with carbon from the oil, if your turbo ends up being bad and the shaft is blue, this is probably what happened! Even so a good turbo should be able to easily push 100K without troubles

Ya better check both inlet/outlet turbo wheels if they're scraping their housings from(yup, you said it) bad bearings.....brahddah
Cheapest route is to have center section rebuilt if nothing else is bad(if wheels/housings are good)

http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/turbo/turborebuild.html here's a guide for GN rebuilds in case you decide to do it yourself, even though the GN uses a Garett versus a Mitsu turbo it will give you the general idea of what/how you need to do it if you decide to do it yourself. I know a diesel guy or two that went through dallas turbo, dallasturbo.com if I'm not mistaken but you probably wanna ask around here first. I've seen the TD06 stuff on ebay, you should probably be able to pick up a whole kit for under $120 which isn't bad. Otherwise upgrade and sell me the core cheap so I can rebuild it =)

Pull the crossover I'd bet a piece of it went through the compressor. Take a close look at the compressor wheel.

if my oil presure starts to go down does that mean that something could be stuck inside or the bearings might be wasted??

if your oil pressure is goin down so is your motor. it's not a sign of good things. "could" be that your oil pressure sending unit is dieing. that is the only good thing that could come of this.

better to check it out now before it leaves you beside the road with a huge repair bill.
