tuning plug wiring?

i recently put a ty motor in my f-body and in the process i lost the plug that mounts under the stering wheel for tuning or whatever:roll:. i figure i need to get another gm plug and wire it in just like the typhoons original was. if someone could take a pic or draw a diagram of the plug and label wire colors for me that would be awesome. if you can think of anything else that would help that would cool to. Thanks

Only three wires needed:
A= blk/wht Ground
B= wht/blk Diagnostic enable
M= orn (or) orn/blk Serial Data

tan/blk is the TCC diagnostic in F. Not really needed. Any other wires in a SyTy ALDL are for RKE, ABS. Not needed for F-body conversion.

thanks for response, and i was wondering if those are the only wires used in tuning?, i dont really know how that stuff works yet.

i'm pretty sure you can't tune through the adl in the obd1, only data log. you need an ostrich setup

if you dont mind, what is an ostrich set up and in this case do i even need to hook this plug up?

You can't make tuning changes via the aldl... only monitor the info from the ecm. You'll have to use an ostrich emulator and tunerpro or some kind of bin editing software.

Here is a link to what should be the full tuning equipment package. the adl port is read only on obd1 since our ecm actually uses a chip for tuning information, where as an obd2 port you can tune through because it has a flash memory for tune information.

Just to add confusion because I like to confuse new people that have not taken or had time to research subjects.

There is hardware available to us that would allow for tuning through the ALDL port. In fact the hardware is in my laptop bag. No software yet for it though.
