truck won't start

A couple of days ago I accidently lock my keys in my truck. I the key were in the iginition turn on not started for an hour and a half. After I got the keys out I started the truck up right away. The next day I started it up and drove it around for a couple of hours. Then on my way home it died liked 3 times. I made it to my house but it has been stuck there for a day. I charged the battery and then started it up. It ran for like 5 to 10 seconds and died. When I turn the key I hear the fuel pump turn on. I checked the fuel rail and the motor was getting fuel. the battery is charged. What would cause the truck to turn over for a couple of seconds and then die.

The only thing I can think of is the battery maybe shot thats pretty much the same problem that I had

Turn over for a couple of seconds? If you mean run for a couple of seconds then die I'd check fuel pressure at that moment. Push in the Schrader valve and see if there is FP. The fuel pump runs for only 2 seconds when you turn the key on. Then an oil pressure switch takes over and keeps it running IF there is oil pressure. I’ve not the foggiest where that switch is but maybe it’s failed. :2cents:
