He got hit with a bad deal. It seems a lot of bad luck for just daily driving. Sounds like he paid too much for it if it was in that bad of shape mechanically.

It was NOT in poor mechanical shape when it left my house. The transmission was BRAND ****ING NEW and the engine had good compression and all new gaskets, vac lines and was cleaned completely before being put back in.

I took a week off of work to help him pull the engine and rebuild it, not to mention figuring out a majority of the parts he needed and ordered them at my cost. Ive offered to help do the same with the transmission, and had Dennis actually givin him one that was worth $5, he would have probably installed it and been driving it already.

Bad deal didn't mean he got ripped off. I meant he just got dealt a bad hand. I don't think anyone would think you'd try to dump a truck on anyone. He'll be back. Hopefully he'll have better luck on the next one.I just hate to see anyone go through so much frustration. Seems to be par for the course for these trucks though. I can't understand why so much failed so quickly. I wonder if he let friends "borrow" it. Seems to be when a lot of the "don't know why it's running funny" stuff happens.

Yeah. If he had two of them, and guy was hurting for a trans, I'd have gone for the one the wasn't rusted up from being outside.

I also told Eric when he came to pick up the trans from me that I had another spare trans that didn't look like it sat outside that he was more than welcome to try. I was only trying to help out a fellow owner. Not trying to dump bad parts on him.

Eric was very grateful for my willingness to give him whatever parts I had to get his truck back together to sell.

And I didn't see anybody else volunteering any parts to help him out at the time - or for free for that matter.

I really appreciate everything everybody has done with me. It has just come down to me not having the greatest luck with the duck. Its nobody's fault for anything. I can honestly say I've never beat on the truck, I never truly raced it, no boost launches, nothing. Luck just wasn't in my favor.

Smaug is 100% right though, if i weren't a college student it would be a different story. But I am a college student and i need something reliable right now. I have the truck in the tranny shop now for a rebuild of the tranny and tc. So it will be up for sale when I get it back.

The reason for selling is nothing outside of me needing something reliable. I love these trucks, and in a year or so when I can afford to have a Ty as a weekend truck, I'll pick another one. But right now there is nobody in my friends or family that want me to keep this truck as a daily driver. Its just been hard. Everybody has been such a help, especially Morgan. Morgan has sacrificed so much so that I could have this truck. I owe him so much credit, and money lol, but I'm not going anywhere. I just need to finish college then I can get another one. Thank you so much for everybodys support with the Duck.
