Might be a couple of us going from the West-Central MN area. We'll probably take a bit different route than you would out of the cities... Unless you wanted to take I-90 west.

That's it? It's Denver in the summer! Maybe a little to early to ask? Might be better to wait for this white stuff to melt and the rivers to stop flooding! I would be willing to go a little out of my way to get a group together! I've never been to one of these and I have a mostly stock Ty.

Re: syty nats

I'll throw this out there....

If we take I-90 across, we could all meet up in Sioux Falls, or somewhere close to that.
We can either go through Valentine, Neb on our way there, or west towards the Black Hills.

I like the black hills drive, but given that I'll likely be pulling a trailer, the Valentine route is a little less stressful.

Let's hope that gas prices find some sanity between now and then.

Re: syty nats

So, my Ty may not be back up and running by then! Is it a bad thing to show up in a different car? My Ty has almost 100,000 mls and I was going to start a rebuild at 100! I do want to go to nats though! Kinda torn now. Rebuild or wait till after nats?

It is perfectly fine to show up without a SyTy. I went to my first Nats in '09 before I even bought a truck.

Re: syty nats

I am not sure when I am heading out that way. Plan to take some extra time before or after nats to stay in Denver. So may be down for a caravan one way at least.

Drive it as it is. Seems like the 100k ones are usually the only ones at Nats that run...

Re: syty nats

Resurrecting this, as the time is fast approaching.

Current plan is to leave Fargo/Moorhead area on Wed (8-3) AM, getting to Denver area late Wed.

Pretty open to route, but will be trailering so my preference will be as much flat land as possible. This would keep me out of the Black Hills routes and more through Nebraska.

I'm not as aggressive of a trailer-puller as some (I don't do the 80 MPH trailer thing), so I won't be making record transit time out there.

Truckless. For now.
Re: syty nats

At least you don't have to drive across Kansas. I've done that 4 times too many in my lifetime.

Hope you get your truck done and have a safe convoy to Denver!

I'll be leaving Gillette, WY via I-25 on Wednesday if there's anyone passing this way.
