Sy. distributor wiring harnesses.

Just got a Sy.(0129) that's been garaged since '02. It appears that mice ate through the wires of both harnesses that plug into the distributor to close for me to splice them. Went to the autoparts store and they could find nothing on their computer. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice, it's greatly appreciated!
I want to empty the gas tank to remove any old fuel, are there any tricks to make it easier or problems I might run into specific to the Syclone? Once again, thanks for the help.

This may sound dumb but isn't it a bad idea to run the REALLY OLD gas back up through the lines to the fuel rail, bringing with it any accumulated crap from sitting for 18 years?

Disconnect it where the fuel filter connects on the frame rail, slide a piece of rubber hose over the hardline so it drains into a pan, and then jumper the pump to avoid this

Remember to work in a well-ventilated area when working with fuel not around open flames. You sure don't want the vapors to be ignited especially in an enclosed area.

Alright, sounds like a good plan to me. Thanks to you all for the advice. Hope to drain the tank Sun, put in the new distributor and wiring harness and turn this bitch over. First start in almost 18 years! Wish me luck.🤞

Sir,
If the truck hasn't started in 18 years and the distributor is out I would recommend priming the motor before you try and turn it over/start it.

Thanks to all for the much needed insight. Are there any tips, tricks, lubricants, etc. that you would recommend, or any "specific" to the Syclone issues that I might need to know about before turning it over for the first time?

If you have a buddy that has a small block chevy priming tool I would recommend borrow that and prime the motor before trying to turn it over.

I got an oil pump primer as suggested. Which direction do I spin it? I was going to just flip a coin. Just kidding. Thanks again for the input.
