I plan on selling my sub boxes out of my sy, this truck needs to go fast and I will let my s-10 have the loud stereo. They are two seperate boxes that go behind each seat and have a piece of mdf in the middle to hold the amp. They have been covered with some real nice almost leather like fabric, they have 8"s in them right now but the way they are built you could easily put some kicker solobarics in with no problem because they need less internal space than a normal sub. If you want I can send you some pics, or I would just go to a stereo shop and talk to them about custom making one. Good luck.

Well the truck came with this setup and as nice as it is, its not me so I plan on selling it all. The former owner said it takes up one click of the seat which I don't think is to bad but you've never ridden in my s-10 which has a huge box and takes up like 3 clicks. Right now it has some orions I forget what model type, the amp is like a 5 or 6 channel, deck is a pioneer dex-p98r I believe. I assume I am talking about the older ones because I was going to be doing all that last winter, the ones I am referring to are the square ones. A friend of mine is a real big stereo guy and he had a real nice setup planned but then I told him I don't want subs so plans changed. I was going to buy the subs from thezeb.com or ebay, I just typed in kicker solobaric and a bunch of dutch auctions popped up but you must make sure you get the square ones because they don't need a lot of room. I will send you a few pics I took awhile ago, I will try and get better ones tomorrow.

So are you interested? I talked to my friend and he said he would sell them for around $60 a piece and I have to sell them together because they are different for the left and right. I will have to get a shipping cost for you and see how much that would be but I don't think it would be to bad. How soon would you want these also because I have not taken them out yet since I was going to do it in a month or so. Let me know.

You said "beefy 10"? Do you have a particular one in mind? The way I put a baffle board on the back wall and use fiberglass for the rearward part of the box takes up NO CLICKS on the seats. The only draw back is that you have to lose the jack or anything else mounted behind the seats. I can fit 3 JL Audio 10W1's or 10W0's and the amp under the passenger seat, or 2 shallow mount 10's (less than 6" deep) of what ever brand and the amp ressed into the center of them. It is very easy to do and cheap. Requires minmal fiberglass knowledge and a lot of patients. i get almost 3 full qubic feet of air volume in this design. It's not rocket science!
-Measure from the back of the seat when at full back position from the floor up to under the plastic below the window
-cut a board of at least 1/2" thick MDF to fit the space
-Figure out where to mount the subs so they don't hit the back wall or the hump at the bottom of the floor
-When you have them postioned correctly, use cardboard as template to contruct divider walls for the subs, or french in a square for the amp
-To seal theis air space pull everything (carpet, plasric strip beloww window, etc...) and line it all with alluminum foil
-Then line it all again with clear plastic wrap
-Now lay in some thick fiberglass matting and goup on the resin
-while it's setting up, screw the MDF together and put it in place
-lay in some matting for the side peices and goup it up some more
-When it all sets up good you can pull the whole thing and remove the protective wrap and foil, push the carpet back down, etc...
-I'd sand and paint the new box, wire it for the subs and amp if you mounted the amp on it, and stuff it full of poly fiber to tighten up the bass
-If you opt to wrap th face of the box/amp rack with material, put it under the plastic window trim before you tighten it back down (very pro looking)

rdtyphoon the main thing that is for sale are the boxes the subs just come with it 'cause I have no use for subs with no boxes especially since I am getting rid of subs in the sy all together. Also the sub boxes are different form left and right, it would be pretty interesting seeing left and right subs though. So is $60 a piece a high price for sub box and sub? I think not
