I have a moderately built sy that I purchased last year that had been sitting for a couple of years without being driven. The tranny was out of it when I bought it & I recently installed a John Waller built 700 & got it running........ The truck runs good & everything, but when you start accelerating from an idle it stumbles & stutters for a while before it starts going. If you try holding it against it's brakes it just coughs & sputters. Anyone have any ideas what it might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

have you done the basic ignitnion tune up stuff?

I'm going to go through all that stuff this spring when I get it out of storage. Cap, rotor, plugs, wires, etc. The stuff that's on the truck only has about 5000 miles on it though...... The truck had the J&S knock control on it but the modual is missing. I'm guessing that has a lot to do with it too. I'm also having some waster gate issues where the gate randomly open & closes whenever it wants to as well. It has an external gate on it that was controlled by a manual boost controller. I replaced the controller with an electronic controller but the gate is acting the same way. I'm not sure if it is the spring or if the valve might be sticking??? Again, any help would be appreciated. Thanks
