stroker motor

i have read some peoples sigs and i see they are running stroker moters how come not many people seem to be building them,is it a cost thing?and wasnt stokes the one doing it? any one have any feedback on this

it costs a lot of money. at least 1500 for a cheap crank and custom pistons are almost always needed and rods need to be better than eagles and most wont put one in a stock block. so your easily looking at a 6-7k short block.

i know Rockford race craft builds them. im going to find out what one cost this weekend

if anyone is interested i have a 3.75" stroker crank in stock with the additional parts to complete the shortblock.

what would that cost mike ?how mutch machining is required?in your avatar is that a turbine powered cat?
