Strange noises...

After an extended high-speed route yesterday my Typhoon started making an "interesting sound". I could only notice it at lower speeds but my guess is that it is there at all speeds. It sounds like a driveline whine (more like a "wooooooooo"). Brakes don't seem to be rubbing and it seems to be speed dependent (as the speed on the truck goes up, the speed of the whine increases... and the volume slightly increases as well). Any thoughts?

Re: Strange noises...

What is involved in lubricating these items (In other words, how much is my wallet going to hurt after this)?

Re: Strange noises...

Change the fluid in the front and rear diffs.
The front propshaft MUST be removed to lube the rear joint prop centering ball and special grease fitting for the gun is required.....probably why so many rear joints are breaking on these.
Here's the fitting:

You take the front prop, drop the rear down, and angle the double cardan to expose the lube port and shove this into it and pump away until it comes out everywhere. Stupid design.

Re: Strange noises...

On the way to the shop I think I heard a "pop" from the front... That's not good is it?
Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
