Stock Injector limit reached

Just got back and Jeremy's sy is now officially out of injector. Ran some consistant 1/8th mile 7.58 60ft times tonight, back to back, hot lap, didn't matter. (11.9-12.0 run based on our 1/4 slips he has)

Fuel is a tadd leaner this year with the small changes we have made and the injectors just can't add more.

This is spraying a LOT of meth to help out also.

Good news is the truck has run probably 10 runs in the 11.9/12.0 range now and isn't showing any signs of slowing down.

I have some 50lb's with low miles on them if you decide to upgrade, I'm planning on going with either 65 or 75lbers

Thanks I will keep you in mind, but I got a lead on some 50's here locally. If it doesn't work out I will look you up at the homecoming in June.:tup:

From what info I have gathered.
You can drop in the Ford "blue top" injectors,& do not need to retune.
Not in production anymore,, but GN guys are always selling theres to upgade to bigger injectors.
Maybe you JSM guys have some lying around?
Worth a shot if you want to play around w/6 lbs more per injector? :2cents:

I saw Jeremy and Jeff add 3% of fuel at least 6 times......AFR never changed on any run....I concur with them being JUST on the edge of out of injector. Didn't have a log of the last run after a FP change, however the timeslip was within .01 of the other 5 runs (Jeremy should be a bracket racer )

I ran across a few upgrade drivers today, and just might find a way to shed 6x50lbs off the ty this weekend.........anyone else wanna see mid elevens next trip to the track?

Can you guys still run in the same class with bigger injectors or do you have to move up? It doesn't really say anything in the rules that I could find.

The 36lb blue tops flow in a very consistent manner with the stockers and are a fast and easy way to "cheat" some more fuel into the equation. Go to turbobuick.com and check the for sale section or look on ebay. I used to use these injectors with a 20g turbo and SMC alky kit and could go PIG rich running 7.6's in the 1/8 (stock motor) without blowing out FP.

after I had my stockers cleaned they flowed at 31lb.

I was thinking 32 or 34 but I just found a referenceto 33LB. Is that correct? If anyone has a set of the Ford 36's I might be interested...... oh crap THREAD JACK! Sorry, my bad and I hate it when I do that, damn :lol: /

I ran to 11.84, still wasn't out of fuel.

Jeremy needs to go on a diet... for each cheeseburger, you lose .05.

(Note, this was with 66# of base fuel pressure....)

We are at 60# base now I think. A slight more could be had but not much.

Throw in some 36 pounders. If you are out of fuel.They should not require any retunning.

That is what takes so long,tunning, & w/the 36 lb injectors it will not need much at all.
Give it a shot, those injectors you can buy pretty cheap.
