Still blowing fuses

Re: Still blowing fuses

Tom,

I was going by the manual. It does not show a FL between the bat and the alt. I have my original bat to starter and alt cable/wire. (If I can find it.) You got me curious. I'm gonna look.

Re: Still blowing fuses

I dont want to brag no one likes that. But here is a re-pin ECM harness i am doing for my sons Camaro. Just wanted to show you my expertise on wiring. Thanks

I don't see the expertise. I also didn't see a fusible link installed between the alternator and the battery though, so....:dunno:

Re: Still blowing fuses

I think those are "in process" pics. I suspect it will look different when finished. Just remember the old line:

Assumption is the mother of all screw-ups.

Carry on, there is life beyond fuseable links.

Re: Still blowing fuses

What can i say. You must have dun thousands of RE- PINNING i am HUMBLED.:(:( ]

I have done my share of fuel injection swaps, but that wasn't my point. It was simply to say that your expertise cannot be determined from that photo. Same goes for a partial picture of a battery with one cable connected, although you get props for additional chaffe protection. Really, I can't tell if the battery is even secured. If others feel differently, that's their prerogative. :2cents:

I saw YOUR link, I was dealing with how a S10/S15/Sy/Ty came from the factory.

Re: Still blowing fuses

I don't use an Optima but I like the clean top (no hold-down). Has there ever been an issue with that low mount cracking or breaking?

Ya, it's got a Turbo

Some people just don't take well to constructive criticism. We all learn from our mistakes. Or at least we should...
