Steel "mount anywhere" battery boxes

I put mine upside down in the spare tire location. Cut from 16g cold rolled steel and drilled for 1/4 hardware(not included) The fit and finish are great and the extra material on the bottom allows for a custom bracket(not provided) to mount in any location.

I just need to know what Optima model from below that you have. My paypal addy is: treymen75@gmail.com

I have bought several of these and talked to the guy that makes them. He can get them done in about a day and agreed to let me post this for him. Their strength and lightweight make these a great alternative. They even work in the stock location if you want. Right now they are designed for Optima batteries only, but I'm sure they will fit similar batteries of other makes.
If anyone is interested in one, let me know.
Optima models they are available for:
34/76
34/78
75/25
75/35
75/86

Here are a few pics. I'll get a pic of my spare tire battery mount tomorrow. Price is $30.00 plus shipping, which is about $10 bucks in the US

Trey, how about a mount for the smaller PC-680 battery? Think you might suggest that to your friend?

I have a Odessey PC-680 in my car and was wondering if anyone is using it or has attempted to use it in the truck application. Battery can be mounted in any position and is a Leak proof battery I have had zero problems with the battery so far. Was considering using it on my truck and taking it out of my car.

I use one (680) in my Ty and it has been pretty good. It's my third one, the first 2 I had problems with because of not using it enough. The maintainer they sell could of over charged it also according to the battery shop.......

Looks great!

Mine's been mounted upside down in the spare tire location for 5+ years and never a single problem.

Good to know Roy and thanks.
I figure when the manufacturer and several prestigeous race shops all say it's designed for mounting at any angle or position, they know whats what.
