Mine did the same thing after I put an msd box in. I called them and they said to put their filter in and it pretty much cured it. It still seems to hurt my radio reception though. It installed in the boxes feed line. I don't know where to put one your case.

i had this problem and a noise filter wouldnt make it it go away.
the cd-player as well as the radio sound like it was playing slower than it should.
cant remember how it was called, but i ordered some special metalfoil that keeps magnetic fields away and problem was solved.

I had the same issue years ago, I ended up bypassing the dash harness and provided better grounds.

This is also a good idea if you are putting in a multimedia in-dash source unit. The current demands are usually more than the factory wiring was designed for. That coupled with the age and possible corrosion / oxidation of the original grounds can cause issues. Just a quick easy way to avoid chasing gremlins later. I would recommend adding a fuse to the 12v wire red from the battery to the relay or use the same wire that is used for constant 12v, splicing after the fuse.
Also in the diagram the ground and original radio accessory should go to the coil side of the relay and the other wires through the switch side - on a typical automotive SPDT relay this would be ground to 85, original radio accessory to 86, constant power to 30 and the new switched power to the radio coming from 87. 87a is unused.

Is it a factory or aftermarket deck? There are several different filters you can use on the power wiring of the radio itself. The simplest would be to try a ferrite suppression core. It is simply a magnet through which the power wire passes. Quick, easy and inexpensive to try. There are also isolation devices and capacitors and combinations of both.
The metal bezerk is referring to is likely permalloy or MuMetal.
Just as a side note never dismiss the ground on a radio. The radio will pull ground from the antenna shield and make for some really odd issues.

Seems to me if the truck is not running it wouldn't be ign noise. The MSD "filter" is little more than a big capacitor which smooths out electrical flow. You could put it almost anywhere in a feed circuit for testing. I have one and it reduced static considerably. It will also, to some degree, protect the MSD from voltage surges, like when starting or jumping the bat.
When the radio is on is there anything else running? Like a full time IC pump. You could get a long wire and "hot wire" the radio direct from the bat and see if that eliminates it. Unless you can confirm the noise began with your tuneup it's probably something else.
Never heard of mumetal but agree with everything else.
