I'm looking to pull the frame off the Ty sometime in the near future. It will get powder coated and everything else to go with it. I want to make everything look good as possible. I want to run hard brake lines like the factory did. I was thinking stainless. My problem is i think it looks like crap when it comes in a coil. Anyone run into this problem or have a idea. I have search around me and haven't came up with any straight tubing.

Interesting timing on this thread..... I've got stainless lines front to rear on my Sy. I've been wanting to do ABS delete for a while to make room for putting the battery on the left... which is really making room for my idea of a fresh air intake.
Anyway, I went to NAPA today to get the tools needed to do flared fittings on stainless, and yikes, a standard flaring tool ($60) won't do it.... you need a $300 tool to properly flare stainless (at least according to the research I've done by googling).
The stainless lines for my Sy came from "Inline Tube", Fraser, Mi. (810-294-4093). They charged $180 for the complete set of stainless lines back in 2000.... don't know what they'd cost now. Mine look great :tup: , and do have the spiral wrap steel over them to prevent abrasion.

When I made a few replacement brake lines for the ty, I bent them up like I wanted, got them the right length and then took them down to a place in San Antonio to flare. They charged me almost nothing to do the proper flares. They had a machine that does it, and in minutes i was on my way.
