Squeaking!!!!

Hey guys,
I took the typhoon today for a ride and noticed that there is alot of squeaking coming from the front end. I hear it alot when I put the car in forward or reverse and then move forward or backward a little and press on the brakes. Seems as if something needs to get greased or something. Anyone have any experience with this? Also it was cold here today, you think that has something to do with it. The squeaking sound is pretty loud. Any help would be great. Thanks

Re: Squeaking!!!!

I wouldn't even know where to look. Can you guide me and tell me what to look for? What could be hitting it? Seems as though it only happens in cold weather, I think I had the same problem last winter and totally forgot about it in the summer, because I didn't hear anything. Just took it to the hooters meet a couple weeks ago and I didn't hear anything. This is driving me crazy. Please help!!!!:(

Re: Squeaking!!!!

Get somebody to try to bounce each corner up and down while the vehicle is sitting still. See if it happends then, if not, try driving down a road with the windows open and see if you can pin point which corner it is coming form. Start there.

Re: Squeaking!!!!

sorry i will elaborate, where the a-arms meet the frame. or steering rubbing frame, but i doubt that. most likley the a-arm bushings or maybe shock bushings, but doubt that too.

Re: Squeaking!!!!

Shocks are brand new. I tried pushing up and down on the susupension and couldn't reproduce the sound. What do you guys think of me spraying some WD40 or silicone on all the bushings on the front end, do you think that will help. Seems as if maybe the cold weather contracted the bushing so they squeak now. I don't kow, I am no mechanic, this sucks!!!!

Re: Squeaking!!!!

Yeah WD-40 will work, or any spray lube will do. i would try to have someone outside and going slow while yanking the wheel back and forth to get the susp. to move. have your friend get real close to pinpoint.lube away or fix, whatever.
