Anyone who has nothing better to do tonight (3/1/05 @ 6pm). There is a monthly get together of some Buick Grand National owners at the Round Table Pizza at freeway 680 and Calavaras Blvd in Milpitas California. This is located near the intersection of Calavaras Blvd. and Park Victoria Avenue.

Sorry for the last minute notification, but I only heard from one of the owners in the last hour as to where the meeting was being held..

They have invited any SyTy owner to attend these meetings any first Tuesday of the month. Maybe there will be more next month since this is such late notice?

I'll be there around 6pm if anybody makes it over?

.i could have made it but just found out right now :( . At least we know it the first of every month. I certainly will be there next month. It's raining anyway.

Hi everyone, well I just got back home from the Milpitas meeting. There were about 10 to 15 people there and some I had met before at a BBQ I went to back about a year ago when I drove up to San Mateo to meet with some of them at a GNX owners home. These guys are heavy into drag racing their cars. In fact that is about 80% what they talked about the 3 hours we all hung around at the Round Table eating pizza.

Most of these guys are big about making their Grand National's about as pumped as they can get them and stilll be street legal. A group of them are heading up to Sears Point tomorrow (if the rain stops?) to put in some 1/4 mile runs. Allot of them were hoping to test and tune and some are hoping to break into e.t. times in the high 10's or low 11's. As I said these guys are serious about drag racing

Some of them told me there hasn't been any SyTyer's that have come to the meetings in awhile. So we need to do something about that starting next month.

The rain started just about the time everyone was getting there around 7:00pm. I got there at 6:20pm and no one was there. I was going to give it until 7pm and drive away, but owners started showing up right around 7pm.

This is really a very unstructured and informal meeting. Mainly just a car B.S. session without the hanging in the parking lot. There was only one GN that was driven to the meeting. Everyone pretty much drove their daily beaters.

One guy name Dean (from San Mateo) is sort of the leader of the group and he stood up and talked about racing stuff and whatever else went around the room.

Like I said pretty informal, just a reason to get together and talk American Turbocharged V/6 cars.

I expect I will be kept in the loop between now and the next planned meeting on April 5th. So I will try to let you all know so you can plan to attend.

keep us i informed. I actually went to burlingame and came back at around 6:00. I think sytyer's should meet up more often. Once a month is a good idea. It's something i used to do when i belonged to the local Alfa club.
