some real bull$hit... more ebay jerks

As many of you know, I recently had my Typhoon listed on ebay, and was the victim of a deadbeat bidder. 2 weeks and $95 in ebay fees later, I still have heard nothing from the high bidder. Just when I thought I had seen it all on ebay, some jerk decided to rip off the description I made to sell my truck. He essentially cut and pasted it into his auction, many parts verbatim, including parts of the auction terms. What an a$$hole! Here.. take a look for youself:

My auction (that some asshole bid on and never paid for):

The Plagiarist's auction:

I wrote the guy with the red/red truck a email politely asking him to change his (MY) description so I could continue to try and sell my truck with the description I spent hours upon hours making. I told him I would report him to ebay if he couldn't come up with his own description, and I will, but I doubt ebay wil do a damn thing about it. Sorry for venting folks, I'm just VERY fu#king pissed off at a few people right now. :fist:

If anyone has any constructive ideas or suggestions for me, I sure would appreciate it. I have to sell my truck (and dont really want to) and these bastards aren't helping matters any.

WELL SHIT!

No really that is a nice Ty. I tried and tried to buy a Ty for the girlfriend with no luck. We ended up with a new Passat 4motion. Well, atleast its AWD I guess. She said "If I had a typhoon it would be like your syclone, in pieces on the floor scattered throughout the whole garage, NO!"

Did you write anyone at Ebay on this. Its probably some little punk kid on there who is dicken you around. I have had pretty good luck on there I just sold my Ducati 996 full carbon fibre opts. with no probs.

Sorry to hear about your bidding misfortune with ebay.. I have to say it's pretty fawked up that madferraristi@msn.com stole your auction description.. Lots of the details are a direct copy from your auction... Personally I was appauled and I hope ebay cancels his auction for doing so, as much of what is described is not of his own words, but yours... Plagurism at its finest...

Funny how he steals your description as verbatim below:

"The interior in this Typhoon is immaculate. I have treated the leather with Leatherique at least twice each year. There are no rips, cracks or tears anywhere on the dash, seats, or trim."

Anyone notice some cracks??

welp! We were all concerned when we noticed the high bidder was a deadbeat bidder already known to us with just 9 hours to go on the auction :(

This vehicle is in pristine mechanical condition. I am a fanatic when it comes to vehicle maintenance and use all synthetic fluids. Oil is changed every 2500 miles using Redline 10W40 motor oil

This vehicle is in pristine mechanical condition. I am a fanatic when it comes to vehicle maintenance and use only the recommended Mobil 1 synthetic Oil. Oil and filter is changed every 2000 miles using either 10W40

See! He doesn't copy you, he changes his oil much more frequently than you do!

I'm sure the guy will change his mind in a few more hours as many of e-mail him and point out he's copied a desciption that he can't possibly hope to fullfill.

What kind of world do we live in? Not even EBAY is safe anymore. This is why I don't EVER include a buy-it-now on my stuff. And now with this "private" feedback thing... (What the feck is the point of that?)

Good luck selling dude - I feel your pain.
