My Sy has 37k miles on it, daily driven hard and very well maintained. It has always smoked a little on morning start-ups, but lately there is a big puff of light grey smoke on every cold start. My co-worker at the Chevy dealer says it's valve stem seals. The truck runs very strong and good most of the time. Also, since it could be related, there had always been a horrible hesitation at WOT around 90 mph that I think is overboosting due to my hi-flo cat and K&N filter, but the last time it happened I noticed a huge cloud of grey smoke exiting the tailpipe.
My buddy at work says that was the head gasket, but the truck still runs strong, and idles, well...ok. Thanks for any suggestions.
