Hi all,

I remember someone posted a picture a while ago about a SY/TY with only a small air filter at the mouth of the turbo. Will this be a good idea??? Any thoughts???

If someone has the pic, please post it!!!

Thanx!

Personally I would think a bigger filter would allow more air to pass. A smaller filter wouldn't. In fact im considering going with a larger cone k&n rather than the smaller one that i currently have.

It worked pretty good for Charles Blossom.

Here's mine. 5" to a 4" cobra. Hell, it's so big, I don't know if it going to fit under the hood :D

It's kinda funny this post come up. I was cleaning under the hood of my TY. I broke the vacuum lines to my W/G solenoid, to be expected with 137,000 miles on motor. So I'm taking pieces off washing with simple green and a rag, well as I am putting things back together I thought. Hey maybe a small filter like I use on my racing kart motor would work. So I tried each type I could find around the house. But in order to get good air flow a hole would have to be cut into the fan shroud (kinda like a forced air intake). Then I thought that might be too much air flow to the turbo. Any thoughts.
