Re: Skyline Owner

nah, nightmare had an R32 and a Ty.

What do you need help with on the R33, or are you looking to buy one.

Re: Skyline Owner

Yeah R33. I have an opportunity to get a GTST. Its pretty clean. Minimal mods. 70k on it. A skyline was/is one of those cars that would be nice to have in the garage, if you could ever get one. I've been eyeing for a while and have learned and researched a bunch, but wanted to talk to someone that has actually owned and had experience with one before I finalize the deal.

So any thoughts or advice or experience anyone has would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Skyline Owner

Is it the rb25 or the rb26. I believe it may be the rb25 if I am correct. I would try to stick with the rb26. More reliable. IMO. What information do you need.

Re: Skyline Owner

I personally wouldn't waste all that money on a R33 unless it was a GTR, but that's just me pesronally.

The GTS-T is a RB25DET, personally again for me its RB26DETT or nothing.

Make sure that car comes with all the proper paperwork and isn't a grey market car. What year is it?

All the owners on here have had GTR's. No one has owned a GTST on here that I know of

oh and the GTS is RWD, I'm more of an AWD kinda guy.

Re: Skyline Owner

Unfortunately, the limited availability means that at time you make concessions. Of course a full GTR is paramount, but the RB25t is just as dependable(from my research) and can be modded to make as much hp as any RB26tt. And most builds convert the tt so single turbo anyways.

And yeah its only RWD, and to be honest, for my plans with the car, I actually prefer it. The Sy and Ty fullfil the AWD department.

Thanks again guys, keep it coming.

Re: Skyline Owner

Your right, it would be neat to own one and have it in the garage. Just because of how rare they are, it would be a neat thing to own as a car guy. Looking forward to seeing some pics if you get one.

Re: Skyline Owner

Hopefully I can get the last bits of info and wrap this up in the next week or two. Then I will definately post pics.

And I agree, being a car guy, its one of the cars that I would love to have in the garage, no matter what model.
