Sizing for a circuit breeaker, Starter current draw

I am looking at a circuit breaker for my battery relocation that I did last year. I just want to be safe (The wire is already wrapped in electrical tape and split loom). I am looking at a circuit breakers that has a 5 sec limit of a peak of 350 amps or 500 Amps. The 350 Amp model would be work better with the size of wiring I used. Do you think the 350 Amp model is enough. I read somewhere (internet search) that most V6 draw about 250 amps initially, is that accurate enough for our trucks?

Dave,

I run a 150 amp waffer fuse inline on the positive line and Ive never had a problem, infact at the time of doing that I was told the 150 amp was way more than enough for our application, and that going any higher may result in the fuse taking longer to blow or not blowing at all, both which would result in more damage.

Cool, the 350 amp peak is a 140 Amp circuit breaker.
