If your're going to mix match pistons, you need to make sure that they weight is the same, or close 4-8 grams should be ok.

The block is in the machine shop. I have:

4 good TRW L2441 pistons with stock rods
4 stock vortec with stock rods and 2 trashed stock pistons.

I'm going to get another 2 TRWs and use the stock rods if I can. The shop will weigh all the pistons and rods to take the balance into account.

It's getting bored out to .030 so what was going to be a simple piston swap has become a semi rebuild.

Oh well.
