SE WI Meet-Ups?

Do any of the SyTy owners here go to any meet-ups or events in the area? Also, does anyone go to the RSDs? I want to go to one before the end of the season and run the Ty, but I'd like any advice as to the proper launching routine with the lights. I know how to do a proper SyTy launch. but I don't know how I would translate that to the track.

Hi there Wicked Saint, where in waukesha are you? I work out in New Berlin off cleveland ave and live off bluemound and springdale.

I really haven't been out much mainly since my sy hasn't run since '04 but I'm hoping this weekend I will at least have a running engine if not a driveable truck

I know supersport s-10 does meets at his place once in a while but haven't really met anyone around this area doing anything. I may try to organize something once I have a working truck again.

If you ever end up at union grove and see an orange grand am, talk to him hes a buddy of mine and a damn good driver. He would be able to give you a couple pointers on how to drive down the track.

Thanks, Rookie. I don't really go to that side of the state, but if I do, I'll drop you a line. It'll give me an excuse to visit a buddy I used to work with that had to move to Lacrosse. If you wanna race I will say this: my Ty is runnin pretty much stock, but I think it would be well worth it to have my butt handed to me by a badass Syclone to see your truck run.

Re: SE WI Meet-Ups?

Hey, Sy892 (sorry. don't know how else to address you lol)

I live near downtown in Waukesha.

Yeah, I know where Cleveland is. Had to take Cleveland for a while when my preferred route to work was obstructed due to construction. My daily coal mine in New Berlin is on Moorland lol

I plan to end up at Union Grove before the end of the season. That's were the RSDs are held (Great Lakes Dragaway). It's funny... my buddy used to go to RSD all the time, but now that I got a vehicle that I wouldn't be ashamed of taking to the drag strip, he doesn't really wanna go. It's ok though. He and I have an unofficial challenge to race each other. My stock Ty against his late 80s 626 that he plans to "work on" before the end of the season.

If I do see your buddy's orange Grand Am perhaps I'll say hi and pick up whatever pointers I can get. I'll also look forward to seeing if you can get your truck running before the end of the season and maybe I'll see you there.

Oh, If you do plan any get-togethers, let me know. If I don't have anything else going on I'd be glad to join in.

BTW the only car get-together I know of in Waukesha is the one on Mondays at Project Two. I haven't gone to one yet, but plan to show up one day.
