If you want to convoy down, and if I think my truck will be reliable enough to make it :rotf: , I would be down to drive it. How many miles is it from where we live??

Hey Ed, if we start up a fund for you, would you take your truck to Sweden to run over there? Maybe give them a real nice show at the King of Europe and bring that trophy home here to the US!

This is not a container price, it´s roll on roll off, and it´s no option for me

Why don't you check the facts before you open your mouth Robert :rant: I shipped my Sy in a container from Virginia Beach on the east coust to Gotenborg för $1200 and then i paid about 2,500 Skr for unloading it in Gotenborg.

And this is not beegin in its real contents. IF the trip does´nt happen the donor gets their money back!!!

Just got off the phone with Robert again. He is leaving for Belguim tomorrow for the king of europe race. Should truck survive, things should start rolling.

He has been doing a lot of calling, etc on transportation. Looks like he has 2 options at this point, both are in the realistic range.

So the question is, are the Hoovers showing up, Ed "Mr Excuses" Hess, or anybody else showing up to give him a run?

im in to donate $100 for robert's trip. Robert and Anders, anything we can do to help just let us know!

we're gettin everything together now. havent touched the truck in over a month. been busy with other stuff. found out we have 4 BLUE bent rods. pretty impressive failure that nothing went through the block or oil pan or anywhere else. when we get it back the motor will we fresh and ready to go!

anyways, we plan on being there unless unforeseen circumstances come up. count us in :tup:

I was explaining that i shipped my Sy in a container and NOT a roll on roll off like Robert sad, ok?

I don't understand why you bring up the price difference, Jimmy thought it was around $1500 and i just answered with the price i paid. I never sad that Robert could get it shipped for $1200, did i?

And i agree with Prosty, you can't compare sponsor with donations. Two completely different things, ok?

Yeah true but I still think Robert doesn't want the "cheapest" possible transport, I guess he wants a safe and priceworthy transport. If there's anything wrong with the transport the whole deal with NATS is off, if the car is damaged or something is stolen etc etc. The whole trip will be for nothing, leaving him there with a big travel expense and no hoover whoop-ass to show for it. Sure the one that you had was a good one, but he explained earlier that he's called quite a few different shipping companies and the price range is somewhat different now compared to when you shipped your bucket.. I mean your Sy (hihihi)

Let's just agree on that you and Robert doesn't always see eye to eye and just leave it at that, I still make a better chicken filet than you've ever tasted and that's the truth

Robert just learned from a shipping company that the prise is SKY HIGH from europe/swedento US because the container is almost allways emty on the return, and then its easy to make a deal from us to sweden..

Roll on roll of is easyer to do compared to containers in paperwork and shipping fee´s but the risk of geting the car damaged or parts stolen is higher on roll on way..

we are deturment to make this happen so we are working to that goal..

Back from Chimay ( http://www.circuit.be/accueiluk.htm ) And the King of Europe contest..

Robert deffended his title from last year and lowered his times from then and is again the AWD king of E...

He teared down the trans fore a checkup after this spring and lots of street tuning and some racing.. resulting in his werry best att gardemoen 9.29@156

WHat he found was one clutch pack had burned.. no biggie easily fixed Robert is his own trans guru

the 14 july he will race, for the first time this year his "hometrac" säve I Gothenburg..

And after this event he WILL LOAD UPP THE TRUCK FOR US and the NAT`S

So Ed Hess (starting to get fast) and Hoover (get a new engine) cómon now see ya there then ??

If he does in fact make it to nationals and I make it there I would like to race him on the street. We can race for the cost of the hotel for the weekend or something, nothing too crazy.

Since he has about 500+hp on me all I ask is he give me the bust while staying on his radials (was mentioned in another post he races on street radials).

It's OFFICIAL Robert is coming

He has a race this weekend and providing engine is in 1 piece it goes on the boat for the US. I am planning to pick it up mid August to ensure it is here on time.

I have pictures of all his certifications and in the middle of contacting both KCIR and NHRA to ensure he will be legal to race.

I will also be contacting wednesday when the holiday is over a customs broker to be sure we have all the paperwork in order for it's arrival and departure to/from US.

Anybody on here a customs broker, or know of one? Looks like truck will be sent to Virginia S/N Carolina area.

This is a big expense for Robert. I am helping all that I can with paperwork for this side, transporting his truck to from nats, ports etc. He is spending a fair amount of cash himself to be able to bring this truck over.

We are hoping some others will show up also so we can have a good matchup and friendly challenge.

The paypal is still open if anybody wants to help Robert offset his costs. Currently we are at $400 in donations, any donation over $40 Robert is hand delivering a t-shirt to

I'll be there. As long as Robert is going I'll be there to run him. I just want to run heads up against some other fast Syclones. (thats why I threw in to help Robert get here). If Robert doesn't make it and some other 9 sec trucks are going, I'll still go. I just don't want to be the only 9 sec truck.
I hope they don't bust balls about the tech to much at that track, because my sy isn't track legal. I do have my NHRA license. Most track rentals aren' t to strict. If the track stuff doesn't work out we can still do it on the steet Thats what my stuff is set up for anyway.
