Ok thinking about opening up the doors of the shop i've nestled myself into and have a cook-"in" and wrench session in a couple weekends, May 2nd 2009 in Williamsport, PA.

Lots of people have offered to help me wrench on my truck...and now's your chance!

What i want to get done on my ty:

• seat torque convertor on 4l80e
• install 4l80e
• install t-case
• install propshaft

that shouldn't take all that much time, but unfortunately there is no lift so we'll be doing this on our backs. There are some tall jackstands however so there will be a decent amount of space. If someone has a tranny jack, that'd be super helpful.

Also, I haven't shortened my rear driveshaft yet, so that could get done also i guess, but i'll probably just take it to a driveshaft shop to be done.


Another item to attack is another typhoon's motor install. Motor needs to be cleaned, rattle canned, and dropped in. If everyone is feeling over confident, we could even try to wire the thing up and get it fired...but i'd be shocked if we got that done in 1 day.

There is plenty of room inside the shop for multiple projects to be ongoing if you need to work on your own cars/trucks...but i'm sure you'd rather work on mine anyway! :lol:

oh things to note...we have a mig, tig, blast cabinet, powder coater, air tools, lots o regular tools, couple chop saws, drill press....

I'll offer free powder coating for anything that'll fit in a standard sized cooking oven.

are there 2 sets of the big tractor jackstands there? I know there are at least 3 sets of normal sized jack stands...and another 2 of the big'uns.

ok..the wrench session is a go. At minimum it'll be me and MattW, as it always is (it's MattW's shop) :lol:

There is plenty of space for sleeping bags at the shop too if you care to stay overnight. If you'd want to come to town friday night something might be able to be worked out too. Maybe i'll just sleep in the shop all weekend :lol:

My parents actually own the warehouse which Renz and I are trying to convert to a shop. My dad and I plan to spend some time in August cleaning the place up, adding a lift, as well as making the existing pit usable for vehicles and storage. Its 100`x70` so there is a good bit of room in there.

For those of you that don't want to sleep with Renz in a shop I'll offer up my basement.. There is one single bed and a sectional couch + floor space..

Hey Renz when you come down this way to visit family give me a heads up and bring the truck. I have 2 lifts and a paint booth and whatever else you need.

mike, i still think im coming. i will bring the motor and extras.do you have a hoist?

if your offer still stands, i think ill blast and powder coat my upper and lower intake, three pulleys and throttle bracket. can you pick up the flat black powder?

Another thing I just thought of... I have all of the Moates hardware necessary to datalog/emulate/tune and/or burn chips.. If anyone needs anything done along those lines let me know ahead of time so that I can dig that stuff out.

Also, if anyone needs larger drivers installed in the ECM I've done that before too. You will need to supply the ECM and new drivers but I can get them soldered in for you...

I doubt that's gonna be possible...i typically go to my woman's place friday night and then stay there till monday early morning. I know you can't stand being away from your wife that long
