rear diff gear info

Just wanted to no if anybody has used any other gear then the 3.42 for a stock truck?and if you have what was it and how did it work out for you.

I heard the lower gear numbers are best for a turbo application. ---

Many go with 3.08's,I run 3.23's but they are almost imposible to find for the front dif.Richmond used to make them but quit about 15 yrs. ago.

Some of the real fast guys have played with that but ended up back at 3.42's.

You can also make essentially the same change by changing tire dia to reach a desired ratio...
