questions - 91 syclone

hi, have a some questions? maybe someone can help

what injectors do i have if they have a light green band on them?

what should the fuel pressure be stock and if these are bigger injectors were should pressure be?

how much boost did the trucks come with stock?

timing is now set back to 0 degrees. with brown wire disconnected.

does boost controller that is factory mounted on top of the turbo need to all be hooked up only one vac line is hooked into the wastegate others are capped.

what causes the trucks rpm to flutter after you get out of the throttle about a 1000 rpm and then smoothes out is this normal.

IF Stock injectors anywhere from 39psi to 43psi base this is with the vac line off the afpr

14.7psi

try new cap and rotor, wires, plugs

Factory stock uses a two bar map sensor so it reads fueling needs up to 14.5psi

Yes there should be two vacuum lines hooked up. Since you didn' t search the issue out first before posting I'll spoon feed you one thread that will most likely help you.

Could be a bunch of things.. could be the fact that you don't have the boost solenoid (above question) hooked up right or leaky vacuum lines by map etc.. use the search feature as this problem has been explored and resolved a billion times

Sounds like the Ford 36#'ers.

Does the truck have a chip, or a custom tune?

The injectors sound like the Lucas 33lb injectors to me as i have the same ones on my Ty, and they will use the same PSI as a stock injector.

A stock injector is a 32.5 lbn hr set up.

Also, on the fluttering thing, like everyone else said, give the truck a good tune up, cap and rotor good plug wires and new plugs, the NGK UR5 plugs work well on a stock motor, or if your running higher boost get the UR6 which is a colder plug to help with detonation.

x2 on the lucas injectors. Mytruck flutters a bit on idle. I tried everything. rough idle is common. I found that a new dist/rotor helps for a while but mine came back. I just learned to live with it. stock boost is 14.7 anything more than that and the ecu cant adjust corectly. The best thig to do is to get a Datamaster. I think thats the first mod anyone should do on these trucks. when I bought my truck it was set at 50lbs of fuel pressure on the AFPR. not sure what it should have been at.

you need a cable, program and a laptop. There is a member who makes the cables or you can buy them with the program from a few venders. You can download a free program but can only use it 20 times for free. do a search and you should find it. Its only a visual tunning aide, but its very helpful when looking for problems.

the atr catalog I have says lucas disk injectors. 33lb @ 45psi
