question on a 2step

I will be putting a digital-6 box on the truck soon for the two step feature and the one stage retard for launching. My question is I still have a cat on the truck and my instinct tells me with the fuel being dumped from the 2step that i should take it off so i dont burn it up
Anyone?

Hit up dgoodhue (Dave) about the 2step.

Im getting ready to put one on the Sy myself and had some questions. Dave helped me out tremendously.

Re: question on a 2step

Please ignore my statement, after thinking about it theres alot of ful in the exhaust hence the reason for all the poping and back firing!

original statement....
umm. i just thought the 2 stop engauged a lower rev limiter until unactivated? and that i was strickly an ignition function? i could be wrong.

the Mitsubishi evo has a built in 2step factory thats ignition based and they come with cats.

Yes i do have a manual dump that I open at the track and that would be the only time I would really use the 2step. I know it cuts the ignition which in turbo dumps that fuel from that cylinder right into the exhaust which spools the turbo (ie anti lag system style if people are familiar with rally racing) Ive got a buddy with an evo mr and we have used that 2step many times but never thought about the factory cats on it. I was just remembering that when cars run super rich that they will clog cats with all the fuel they try to process and just trying to save myself a headache before it happened
