PE is enabled when the engine is in EST mode and one of the following conditions are met:
1 - MAP exceeds KPEMAP1 (0x0393)
2 - MAP less than or equal to KPEMAP1, engine is EST mode, and TPS greater than or equal to KPETPS (0x0387) and one of the following conditions met:
.....A - RPM greater than or equal to KPERPM (0x037E) or
.....B - Rate of TPS change (over 25 mSec) greater than or equal to a value from the F63 table or
.....C - TPS greater than KPEATPS (0x0395)
3 - MAP less than or equal to KPEMAP1, EST enabled, TPS less than KPETPS, and one of the following conditions are met:
.....A - MAP greater than or equal to KPEMAP2 (0x0394) and ECT greater than or equal to KPETCTH (0x0396) or
.....B - MAP greater than or equal to KPEMAP2, ECT less than KPETCTH, vehicle speed less than KPEMPH (0x0397), and RPM greater than or equal to KPERPM or
.....C - MAP greater than or equal to KPEMAP2, ECT less than KPETCTH, MAP greater than or equal to KPEMAP3 (0x0382), vehicle speed greater than or equal to KPEMPH, and RPM greater than or equal to KPERPM1 (0x037F)
4 - Forced PE Mode - satisfying the criteria of this condition will force PE if EST is disabled due to a Code 42 or if operating in backup spark mode:
.....A - MAP less than or equal to KPEMAP1 and
.....B - EST disabled and
.....C - MAP greater than KPEMAP42 (0x037C) and
.....D - RPM greater than KPERPM42 (0x037D).
All of this is covered in section 9.1.4.7 of the P4 document, but I was in a good mood tonite (esp for adding in all the PG addresses...thank you very much  ).
