Project Overhaul Little C

I am finishing packing up for a trip to Seattle for 2 weeks. While I am there we will be doing a major 4 day renovation to the Little C.

Those that might remember the typhoon C, well this is the little brother to it. Same guy built it, just a much more mild build.

Paul has been limping around on a 700 with weak overdrive for awhile. Finally budget and me getting him some parts done has finished and I have agreed to come out for a 4 day bonzai session on his truck.

Not sure how airport security will like me, but I have in my bags.

12cm 20g housing
coilover suspension
various 4l80e conversion parts
front end alignment tools
3" downpipe
AN Braided lines
and who knows what else.

Wednesday evening I will be grabbing my dads truck and trailer to go pick up Pauls truck and bring it down to my dads shop. If all goes we will have a webcam setup for thursday/fri/sat/sun work session and hopefully some timeslips the wednesday after.

Right now the truck has the dash ripped out for major wire fixing. Paul is mostly done but dash still missing.
4l80e is sitting and waiting installation, along with PCS controller
3" SS Downpipe with cutout
12cm housing (get that tiny 8 off his 20g)
Coilover suspension
65# injectors
Billet fuel rails

From there be throwing code59 in it, some major tuning then hopefully some track time before I leave and get some solid 12's.

Paul and I will keep this updated as progress happens, as he has a 2 day pass from work, and a 4 day pass from his wife.

If the webcam works this could be a first for syty.net.

I leave first thing in the morning, getting into Seattle around noon.

Saturday all the local syty guys are invited to show up and watch, point, laugh, you name it. Could be an interesting week or two.

I hope to be there on Saturday with all you guys! Will see if you have time to do that tuning we talked about that day? I have been taking to Roland also and he is going to bring his stuff to do some injector cleaning! At this time i'm 100% sure i'm going to be there unless something else comes up during the week..

Good luck... Sounds like you guys should have some fun and a few trips to the parts store for various broken bolts and tubes of forgotten sealants.

Sounds like Paul will have the setup I'm working towards, only thing I'm missing is the trans. Mines not quite ready to give up the ghost yet, but I'd like to be ready when it is.

you wont be able to take it in the cabin(carry on) but you can check it. you will most likly have to pay bc it will be overweight but it's not that bad a charge. cheaper than ups and you know it should end up with you.

my mom is flying also, so we can check 2 bags each.

Heaviest box is 40lbs, so we are set.

I remember when we flew to Chicago in 2001 to fix Bdubb's tranny and you brought all the clutches and steels and whatnot on the plane. The guy working bag check was like WTF? I'm sure a clutch plate looks like a chopsaw blade under the x-ray and the tools looked like I was riding next to demented dentist.

And with all that crap you had, I get strip searched at Hartsfield and told to drink my Coke at gunpoint.

Dropped Jeff off at the airport this morning. Not sure if he's going to make it with all his goodies. i went no further than the door to the airport, but watched him carry two boxs. One with control arms, the other kind of an odd L or P shape with a crossmember in it. From the goofy banterings at 4am coming from Jeff I think he had the Downpipe in his dufflebag, although I'm not sure if that was supposed to be checked or carried on. Think security would be worried about Jeff giving the pilot a DP bitch-slap?

I didn't have to give the pilot a dp bitch slap or anything.

The boxes now have fancy "has been checked by security" tape on them now, but everything has made it in one piece.

Been up since yesterday, sleeping on the plane makes it go by faster.

Oh gawd a webcam. Watching Jeff stand around is painful enough in real life...

I am only gonna watch if there will be a naked chick modeling a syty part or something.

Re: Project Overhaul Little C

Picked up Pauls ty last night with the trailer. It is now sitting on the hoist, 80e sitting behind it as well as a crap ton of boxes of parts, wires, etc.

Last nigt we got the wireless router working and it reaches the shop with good speed. Gotta go get a webcam this morning and get started.

Today's goal

Remove transfer case/700r4
install 65# injectors/billet rails/braided fuel line
get 80e installed, and wired
drive truck around the block

Guess we better get started.

Tomorrow

Coilover suspension
3" dp 12cm housing
Get dash back in

Saturday

Tuning, tuning

Sunday any loose ends

Wednesday
