Re: Post a pic of your truck taken today
so you put your truck in a cage while youre away on vacation? lol
It's actually a storage platform. My father-in-law's basement garage has 12' ceilings, so there's a good 5'+ above the Sy that we can use to store all our stuff while we're gone.
 Animals need to be caged........At least it looks strong enough to put another truck on top of it! Jeff, is that at Robyn's parents? Did you design and built it? Why is it a little short?
Yeah I made sure it was well built, didnt want anything crashing down on top of the Sy while we're gone. And yeah thats their place, in his 6 car garage in the basement (rancher/rambler with walk-out style basement). I designed the platform and was going to build it, but when it came time to build, my Father-in-law took over (cant have anyone using his tools and all, LOL). I helped and guided him through my design. It's a little short to allow the hood to be opened and when I told him I was thinking bigger, he baulked a bit, so I made it a little shorter, it ended up working out for the better allowing the hood to open all the way for him to get at the battery points for the battery-minder and other stuff.
Ozrein. i think your trip is awesome! that sy will be there when you go back, the adventure is unpayable for. just wondering how you can do this, and why?
My wife and I had been planning the trip for a few years,, we always wanted to see the world and figured now was the time to do it before we really settled down. We were going to sell our apartment and use some of the equity to travel with but the market crashed on us, so we would have lost out on what we had planned on using for travel money. In the end our friend was wanting to rent it, so we refinanced to incorporate some travel funds and went with it that way.
