I went to radio shack here and they have no such thing. The Canadian and US Radio shacks are much different. Would someone be willing to buy one for me and send it and I willl paypal the cash to them?

( I might need another one as I can datalog the 749 and the 8625 - tranny computer and run the romulator whew thats alot of stuff going on at once)

If you need anything else just let me know. I'm tell ya this romulator is the stuff, I've done 62 bin in two days, taking it real slow, but it's almost done.

I have Bein having trouble with mine... It works for awhile and then in the middle of an intersection it forgets or looses the bin. or something but then it will only idle. it will die if you push the throttle to far. It wont reload the bin...Havet had a lot of time to mess with it due to work...But it has bein finicky from the begining..

Found out tonight you can change programs on the fly. I got sick of pulling over, figured I give it shot and it works. You'd think I own stock in Intronics by now with all this hype.

I talked to carl today I am going to have to send it back . He thinks they got a bad batch. there is a program in the emulator that if forgetting to work all the time ... my prob exactly . off to the post office I go...

Have you guys tried the new Tunercat RT? It works great with the pocket romulator. I was playing with it the other day and changes are seamless. You just change the value in the table or switch and the engine goes to that peramiter(sp). I highly recomend Tuner RT if you own the pocket romulator. It would be nice if promgrammer was able to incorperate this feature too. hint hint.

You can also get the serial to USB adapters from www.deluo.com

I have two from there.. my home computer and my laptop don't have any serial ports. They work great.

They are about $20, not sure what you are paying for them now.

After using Tuner Cat RT, I'm totally blown away, it's basically a speed pro system. At first I thought you needed to completely reprogram the ROM with the new bin, but after a few minutes I realize it's real, real time, just make the change in tuner cat and it happens, damn. For anyone that's doing chips, I'm telling you this is the only way. Last night I made at least 100 different changes driving around for a few hours.

Well after watching this thread over the past days, this seems the way I should go for tuning. Before I can go ahead and do this, I need to know if someone can do me a favor.

When I picked up my truck last fall, it had a 3-bar chip in it already. Is there anyone willing to email me a 3-bar bin for a stock truck that I can use as a starting point? Or is there someone in the around Milwaukee willing to pull the data from the chip I currently have if I get it to them? I tried doing a search trying to find a bin, but all I could find was the stock bins.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :wink:

I have the romulator and am trying out promgrammer and tunercat rt. I cant get turnercat to work correctly but promgrammer is fine so far. It seems to work really well. My fuel curve was wacky and got it pretty flat in 15 minutes. I would recommend it.

Just thought I would share on the romulator and the Tunercat RT. This is simply the most incredible tuning tool besides the WideBand.

With my Wife driving the Big Dawg I re-did my entire fuel tables to get all corrections with in -5 in about 1 hour at all rpms from 800 - 4000 at all KPA's from 20-100.

The trucks drivablility is better than her stock truck that I tuned extensively..


Like Mark said with this set up you can tune as quick as a FAST set up.

I have turnercat RT working correctly now with the romulator. Amazing. Now I have to spend another $100 but its worth it.

My free 30 days ran out on my RT Tuner software so I paid the $ to register it. After I did this the definition files did not work correctly. It gave me lots of errors or would not open some tables. It took me an hour but found that re installing the definition files into the tuner folder fixed the problem. I just thought if someone else had the problem it would save them some time.

I sent back my Romulator it was bad. got it back I used it once and it still seemed to have problems....... I have only used it once though i will try it again later on today. Dose any one have a 3 bar def file for tuner cat RT. I would like to see it work before i invest the moola. so far for me burning chips has bein most reliable....
