Hello there! I have a big problem with my plug wires. I currently using MSD dist, ignition box, coil, and plug wires. For some reasons the wires always foul up after about a month or so. I also use ATR header on my Ty. The wire boots get discolor and real mushy too. Is there any prefer plug wire for the Sy/Ty with ATR header? Thanks for your time!!

Code what?
I would try using some heat resistant meterial on the wires around the headers and keep em off the headers. Or you could try a wire with more resistance to heat. or try a wire that will withstand more heat.

From what I've seen the MSD wires are not as heat resistant.. kinda what i've seen out of the Magnecor too (i'm not a fan of Magnecor at all).

I use Taylor almost exclusively on wires now. I've had a set of 409's on my Syclone for almost a year with headers on it, no sign of wear/tear/heat ssues. I have the fiberglass boots at the plug end, pretty much a necessity on the #1 plug.

Thanks BG!!

Where can I find the Taylor wires?? I'm getting tire of these plug wires! I was gonna go with the Jacob wires with the ceramic boot, but Jeg don't have them also. Thanks again!!

www.Summitracing.com sells the taylor wires and also the taylor heat boots for the plug end.

Part #s at www.sytyauthority.net

With headers your gonna need some kind of heat wrap to save the wires.
I threw away some ceramic boot wires that were just wasted, even from the stock headers. I'd stay away from them.
