Ok guys I need some serious help. I finished installing the Typhoon motor in the Sy last weekend and since then It hasn't idled for more than 7 min.
The motor that was in the daily driver Sy that I just bought had alot of blow by so initially we rerouted it to the throttle body so it was driveable. I ran a comp check and the #5 was 30#'s. I pulled the heads after a little more research and found the it had a stuck/bent valve. I was going to put it back together when I stuck my finger in the head and there was 1/2" of sludge everywhere, nasty sludge. I then went to my parts Ty and did a comp. check on that motor and to my amazement after sitting for 2 yrs behind my friend's shop I got 165#'s on all cylinders.
Now that I have finished the greatest undertaking of my life I can't get it to idle. It is a stock block, heads have never been off, stock injectors, 20g, Walbro 255, new Taylor wires w/ (cr42ts), and 3 bar map. I realize last night that I need a 3 bar chip to make it run right so i started digging through my box of stuff that came with the truck when I bought it and found this. But the big problem is that it will start and run and then all of the sudden it will shut down like the key was turned off. Then when I finally get it restarted, which is a b*tch It seems like the timing has moved. Let me say this about this build, it is my first one and i had a real problem replacing the timing chain. Wrong on twice and then ordered an edelbrock double roller and it was the right one but the timing chain was off for 3 days and i am afraid it might be off a tooth or two. How do I get it lined back up? Does that sound like the problem? How do I fix it? Please help me I want to have one of my Sy's running ASAP!
This Stg has written on it "50# V4 Stock" Will it work with my setup or these injectors? The injectors are black with a red stripe with D1163AA, 621030, and 2255 written on them. If they won't work does anyone want to trade these for some that will work? Please call me Asap if you can help (850) 642-6433 NIck
