Phoenix area guys

How many SYTYers are in the Phoenix area? I am from Nebraska and will be moving to Phoenix in about a year, just gotta graduate. There aren't many around here, trying to get a feel for how many are down there. No rush with this thread, just curious for now. Thanks

I'm one of the non-runners currently. Just need my downpipe fabbed up and I'll be back on the road.

I'll be coming down to check out real estate and to chill for a few days in late May/early June. I'll let you guys know when it gets closer and I would love to meet up with some of you at a Hooters or something similar. What's the deal with non-runners? Mine runs ok, needs a tune-up and I wouldn't mind doing some engine mods, but I'm not skilled enough with that line of work. Hopefully there's a SYTY guru down there that could give me a hand.

I'm down here and I think that mine runs the most out of everybodies, except mabe ThaJoker. I'm always down to get together. You see, these sytys seem to be addicting to where once you go so fast, you just want to make it go faster, and faster, and faster. Your syty is never really fast enough. And the whole guru thing, I guess it depends on your defination of a guru. There are a couple guys our here that have done some major work to thier vehicles, MADPSI stripped everything, and I mean everything out of his sy to do a complete rebuild.

Where are you lookin to buy a house? Most of the guys around here are very good with the trucks. Me, AZTY, and PPI Typhoon were almost always working since we didn't really have our trucks built up yet. That's why PPI Typhoon's Ty is down, big build up. The other guys trucks are very big builds so it takes a while, can't wait to see them run though.

Not real sure on where exactly. I just know I am getting out of Nebraska and moving somewhere down there. Where are the good areas to live in. I don't want to live in the slums and worry about my trucks and boat everynight. What part do you guys live in/around?

Sounds like you guys know a thing or two about these trucks, which is music to my ears. I can do some of the basics, but I'm not at all a mechanic. I have a few things that I would like to get done. My main problem right now is that my truck seems sluggish, not sure why. I used to be able to kill my friend everytime we'd race in his 93, but now he kills me everytime. Not sure what might have happened.

To satisfy the requirement of not being "in the ghetto"
- Live greater (east) than 32nd Street
- Live anywhere north of the 202 freeway

There's a ton of new developments popping up in very remote locations (100+ streets & 100+ avenues). The prices are cheap as hell, but you're out in the middle of nowhere...

Best bet is to find a house and let us know about it. We'll keep you out of harms way. Plus, you'll find out the closest SyTy fanatic location and we'll go form there...
