Periodic squeak when turning

Hi guys - got a new noise on the Ty, and I'm hoping someone else has experienced it, too. When I take a left turn, I hear a periodic, high-pitched squealing. The faster I'm going, the shorter the period of the squealing is. It's got something to do with the front left wheel, but what? Is it brakes, a bearing, a CV joint?

Power steering? Will it do it sitting still? Long shot, but could be front diff too, you check the fluid level in it lately?

Thanks for the ideas. Checked to see if it was the power steering by turning the steering wheel while idling still. No noise. I had the differential fluids changed about 10 months ago - while I haven't checked them since, I'd be surprised if enough has leaked out since.

I've noticed that if I apply the brakes while taking a left corner, the squeaking noise goes away. This would suggest a warped rotor to me. Or just a lot of brake dust. I'll try some brake cleaner soon and see if that takes care of it.

Hi, I would lay money on the brakes. The brake pad squealer is coming into contact with the rotor when you make a turn due to a little play in the wheel bearings. I think bendix is making a dust free brake pad under the name of quiet stop. I haven't seen it stocked yet though. You might check with wrenchhead or someone like that on the net. Good luck...Steve.
