passenger door lock not working!

i need some help here. being hacking at it all day and starting to lose my patient. the driver side door lock works fine and the passenger side is barely working or works sometimes. i replaced the relay under the dash and now the passenger side door lock motor actuates all the time but it doesnt seem to have enough power to lock and unlock the latch. i pulled the motor out and ran to a straight 12v and the motor actuates fine both ways but when i connect back to the car it works but at half speed or weak. im thinking theres not enough current getting to the motor maybe small short somewhere. i tested the harness with a 12v test light and it works. what do you think i should do? cut the wires at the relay and run new lines to the harness or maybe use those wires as signal wires for my own relay.

I had the same problem with my sonoma years back. The wire goes back and forth a few times. looks to cause voltage drop. my drivers window was slower then the passangers too. I replaced with a higher guage wire and it fixed the problem. That was years back and I dont remember how I did it.
