paint preservation

I have a very low mileage teal/grey Ty that I keep inside under temperature control and under cover. I want to keep the finish as original as possible and preserve it with the proper polish/wax/ or what ever is best. I would like to do the same with the leather to prevent any drying/cracking. It is all very good at the present time, but will likely only get worse over time without the proper care. Any ideas? Thanks. V

Re: paint preservation

Try www.griotsgarage.com

Also, they started selling Griot's Garage at Advance Auto Parts.....stock up on it! It's all very good stuff! Plus, there are a TON of coupon codes for Advance at FatWallet.com.

Re: paint preservation

I seriously was expecting that link to go to a webpage you created for yourself doing wax, polish, buffing services.

Ive considered going into that biz doing only high end vehicles. Shit pays out if you got the tools, know how, and patience. Not talking the 2 hour special on mom's civic, but the 1 week jobs on exotics using toothpicks, cotton swaps, etc for every tiny detail.

Seriously though, Adam's Polishes are badass. The Camaro5 forum non stop talks about them (plus they are very active on there). While waiting for the Camaro to be built, I broke down and dropped $150 with them since the hype was so much....plus their videos are very good.

Very happy with the product. Simple to apply and remove, smells good, and good customer support if you have questions on technique or what is best for your vehicle.

I highly recommend the In and Out spray. You can basically spray down all the plastic and hoses in the engine bay and all of the interior panels and make it shine without the residue left behind (like the junk dealerships use). It rocks for conduit in the engine bay. Dries in a few seconds. Watch the vid on the page.

Ive always used Black Chrome on my engine bay to keep everything nice and black. I just did my engine bay yesterday with the In and Out for the first time. I wont ever use the black chrome again. It's quicker and left everything with a deeper shine.

Re: paint preservation

Zaino is my favorite. I also have used Poorboys waxes and polishes with excellent results. My friend is a pro detailer and uses a variety of products depending on the cars type of paint and color.
