i was watching car and driver tv on tnn this morning and they showed a ty.
the truck was black with brown cladding, lowered and had sawblade wheels. they showed it on the track once and behind a lightning once.

That's not a ty. It's a corvette with a blazer body and custom flares on it. Owned by the guy who runs the Carolina Rod Shop.

I watched him roll it at Nelsen Ledges a few years back, he's lucky he didn't break his neck, literally.

yup and the show before it did a quick stint on the Woodward Dream Cruise. If you pay real close attention you can see '93 Typhoon #2200 (last one made).

I was at Nelson racing in the One Lap. That place has potholes big enough to put cones in, and have them disappear! He rolled that truck in the decreasing radius right hander in the back section of the track, before the small straightaway.

There was a very, very attractive EMT there though, so at least he didn't nearly kill himself for nothing.

Whille that work was going forward, Dodd expanded the LT4's displacement from 350 to 383 cubic inches (6.3 liters) and its output to 470 hp and 450 pound-feet of torque. Although the Blazer's aerodynamics are still barnlike, its performance is, well, blazing. Dodd ran the Memphis quarter-mile in 14.809 seconds. That's 1.7 seconds slower than the last C% Corvette we tested (August '98), and he was king of the 1998 One Lap Sport-Utility Vehicle Class.

470hp 450 tq and 14.8 in the 1/4. should have saved the time and bought a ty. what would a ty run with those power #'s? i'm thinking low 12's high 11's. at least
