Hey guys its been a long while...( My old screen name is 1FSTSIX )...

Well I just picked up my new SS today...What a great truck!!! It is expensive but it's a monster...
It really brings back the feeling that I had when I drove the Typhoon for the first time...

Merk, Gimmie a call and I'll arrange a "Test ride".......

It's a shinney new silver TrailBlazer SS (AWD of course)...How's things been going in the last couple of years Morgan?

I bought a Syclone so no new truck for me for a while.

It's good to hear from you also...I've missed the board alot in the last few years....

The one thing that I can say is that I ( miss/think about ) my old typhoon every single day since the day that I sold it !!!!

The new TB is cool but it'll never be a Sy/Ty....Hopefully the two gruops will find a way to get together...It would be cool to see the trucks at gatherings...

I figured those things weren't out yet since I have yet to see one on a dealer lot at all. And I stop by just about every Chevy dealer I drive by. Definately get some pics up. Haven't seen pics of a silver one yet. My wife wants a black one when/if we have kids to haul around more shit.

Hows the V8 AWD launch? I have been waiting to see one at the stealership but no luck. I did not see times showing the difference between 2 wheel VS. AWD trucks. Anyone with info on this?

Well, with the stock GM torque managment system the launch is pretty weak. I'm working with a company called Wheel2Wheel to modify the computer for a real 400hp launch !!!!

The 1/4 mile times that I've heard are 2wd 13.60 and the AWD 13.85 ( 0-60 in 5.3 stock)

It really seems to launch hardest in drive from a standing start...To me it feels like driving a 4-door C5 coevette.....

So the AWD is slower = heavier? Anyone with 60' times? I think the 2wd would be fun. You know big ol 4 door & smokin' tire launch with 3 or 4 buddies along for the ride. I miss hitting it in a corner for a nice sideways wheel slide. Man I miss that '79 Z. AWD is nice but 2wd IMO is more fun on the street.
