Awesome. I have an email request in with the hotel to see if they will extend the rate through the end of the week. $99/night is still a good deal for Denver in August, but I will do what I can to give us more time at the Nationals Rate.

I'll keep you guys updated. :tup:

UPDATE:

It appears the hotel is filling up around us. There are only 2 rooms left in the "SyTy Block" at the special rate of $62.00 per night. Once those are filled, you will need to contact the hotel and see if they will work with you on any other discounted rate.

We also have an inquiry out to another hotel in Golden on the possibility of a group rate for an "overflow" hotel. However, I don't think they will be able to match the $62.00 rate, or the $99.00/night normal rate for the hotel.

In any case, if anything changes, I will keep you guys up to date.

It's hard to believe Nats is just a few weeks away!

I just made my reservations and he said there's still a handful of rooms left but the special rate runs out on the 15th...

So, where is everybody gonna stay if they don't want to pay 105 a night? All the rooms in the nats block are full and I can't afford 100 plus a night. I saw some good deals online but I would like to be with other sytyers if possible.

You will be hard pressed to find a good room in Denver, in August, for less than $100/night. There are many other hotels on Simms and 6th Ave and the surrounding area. We are also working on a "backup" hotel, but can't make any guarantees there.

Did you ask about getting the Nationals rate for any room at the hotel? Just curious to know if they will give the rate outside the reserved block.

I plan on staying in Boulder at my Uncle's, not sure how far the drive is but will leave a room at the hotel open for another SyTy peep

Still waiting on the backup. But like I said, it's in Golden proper, so I doubt they'll be very close to the Nationals Rate. You can always call Candlewood Suites and see if they'll give you the rate on another room in the Hotel, it just won't be in the "reserved" section. Not that it matters, it's a smaller hotel.

There are several other hotels in the area that you can check with. All are major chains, so you may be able to find some sort of discounts there.

If anything changes, or if we hear back from the hotel in Golden, I will be sure and update the thread. :tup:

Yes I do know that BUT from the sounds of it, it IS almost booked up.
Correction: Just got off the phone & there are still a couple rooms/studio suites available outside the block. $107.00/ night.
Which hotel is everyone else staying at???

There is a motel 6 not to far away that looks clean and is only 45 bucks a night. Thats where I will probably be staying along with another guy who is driving his Ty up too.

For Candlewood suites if you book a room on their website you can get the standard one queen room for $84.66, a suite with a queen and a sofa bed is $108.99

At the Fairfield Inn Denver West (11907 6 Ave, Golden CO 80401) You can get a king room for $99, a king with sofa bed at $104 and 2 queens for $109. This will be the unofficial back up hotel as it is right up the street.


I strongly suggest that you call Candlewood and ask them nicely for a room at the SyTy Nats rate since that is less.
