ok a few races since last time....Red 1995? Nissan 300 z twin turbo, gorgeous car, tasteful kit, classy rims. Cruising about 65 on the highway, match his speed, he takes off i follow we played on the highway for a little while... got competitive when the road cleared. got up to about 100-110 dead even, then he started to walk away slowly. Ran into him on the street a week later set off on a 20 roll- ate him up by two cars got out the gas at 50. no aero advantage at sidestreet speeds.

Im heading north on a nice clear smooth 6 lane road. light traffic.He turns on from a side street. as soon as he pulls up along side, I mash 3/4 throttle and he reacts much quicker than anticipated, staying less than a third of a car behind me , and gaining ever so slowly. traffic ahead in the middle lanes and we swing out to each out side lane, me on the left him on the right, and i put two and a half on him, with my foot all the way in it, but i m guessing he slowed a bit when he passed the traffic. got up to about 85 90 on that run. we turned off at the next street to avoid any po-pos Im guessing he was stock.
black 98-99 camaro SS heading west. slightly dirty, faded paint, newer knockoff chrome rims slp center exhaust though. I thought 'ok a modified ss, let see how she holds up"
light traffic, I speed up to get around it, & its clear for an 1/8 mile quickie he catches up and we slow down to about 20 and I punch it full throttle we're dead even until about 60 and he walks away, but a lot quicker than the 300 z did.
black 2006 srt8 jeep....wanted one of these when they first came out. saved 28000 and got the typhoon instead. on the highway doing 70 he matches speed and we slow to abou 50 waits for me to jump I do and hang with him till 75 and he walks away, gaining a bout 3 carlengths by the time I hit 90. i got out the gas and we do it again, but the results are almost identical. I lost, but Im glad I have the ty, and also kinda impressed at the way it hung with the modern equivalent as much as it could..
black trailblazer ss 2006 in heavy traffic inching along at 7mph on a major highway. I notice a trailblazer ss in the next lane a car back, so I slow down even more and he sees me looks over and nods. I wait until the traffic in front of us is like 200 feet ahead and mash out. I put three cars on him and hit the brakes. we do it again from 20 since the traffic is starting to move along I jump out like 2 cars and walk out another half a car till we reach 60 then i got out the gas. he rolls his window down, and I ask'stock?' He said yeah, its got a chip though. Yours stock? " I said nah.
Gotta love detroit. roads will wear your car out, but people are up for a run.
