I just became a new distributor for Original Equipment Concept Wheels. My parts business also has a name change. Performance Engineered Products has changed to Longwith's Trim & Accessories. So in addition to the "Blade of Death" IC scoop and the aluminum skid plate, I will be offering a group purchase on ZR1 Corvette wheels for the Syclone and Typhoon. Here's the deal:
Chrome ZR1 17 x 9.5 - 56mm, set of 4 = $1,000.00 delivered in the U.S.. The rears will require spacers to match the front total offset.
17 x 9.5 fronts and 17 x 11 - 50mm rear =
$1,100 per set delivered. No rear spacer needed on the 17 x 11 - 50mm. Center caps included. Chrome Lug nuts add $40.00. No minimum required.

Visit OEConcepts web site to see pictures.

I can get them painted silver for about $60.00 less. If that's what you want let me know what size and I can get an exact price.

Ken, for painted 17 x 9.5 fronts and 17 x 11 rears, your price is $950.00 deliverd. I'm paying the shipping on all orders placed before Jan. 1, 2002. Add $40.00 for Chrome lug nuts or add $60.00 to the price of the wheels If you want locking lug nuts.

Thanks,

Jim

I can get a good price for a tire & wheel combo, mounted and balanced, on the 9.5" wide wheels but not the 11" wide wheels. My only choices are Falken and Bridgestone. Let me know what your desire is and I'll put you a price together. For the 315/35 ZR17 tires to go on the 11" wheels, I go to http://www.discounttiredirect.com or Tire Kingdom.

Jim,

Since I didn't notice anyone bringing it up, why can't you just get the 56mm offset for the front and the 38mm offset for the rear for the 17x9.5 so you don't have to use spacers and it seems oeconcepts offers them. I would like to get a set eventually but don't want to use spacers.

Are you going to have these wheels offered for sale sometime end of this summer. That's when I would probably like to buy em.

My calculator was not set properly (operator error) which caused one slight error. 14mm = 0.55in. (not 1in.) therefore if you use the +38mm wheel on the rear it would require a 0.55” spacer to match the front +56mm. That makes some difference because now without the spacer, the rear wheel is farther inside by only 0.55in. Based on this, yes, I would recommend putting the 17 x 9.5 +56mm on the front and 17 x 9.5 + 38 mm on the rear with no spacer. The spacer would be optional if you wanted to take up that extra ½ “.

Subject: [SYTY] ZR1 56mm vs. 38mm reat offset

Rick had a very good question about why not use 17 x 9.5 +56mm fronts and 17
x 9.5 +38mm rears with no spacers.

I did some rough calcs and this is what I came up with. The 17 x 9.5 +56mm
on the rear needs a 1.25" spacer to have the center of the rear wheel in
line with the center of the front wheel. The 17 x 9.5 +38mm has less
positive offset which is going in the correct direction therefore would need
less of a spacer.

To see how much less: 1.25" = 32mm. That means I need 32mm less positive
offset than the +56mm wheel. The +38mm offset wheel only has 18mm less
positive offset than the 56mm. Therefore I still need to come up with 14mm
less positive offset or install a 14mm spacer which is 0.55” spacer.

Note: We've been using the term "spacer" but it's really an adapter. See
http://www.skulte.com/adapters They supply the adaptors.

Syclone2163; Yes the 2000 vette wheel in the front 17 x 8.5 +58mm will fit on all 4 with the 1.25" spacer on the rear. I can get a chrome set for $1,080.

Boostn: Yes I will have wheels when every you get ready, no rush.

The painted wheels are silver powder coated with a top clear powder coat. I don't know what it would cost to have someone powder coat them a different color. You would need to find someone locally to do that for you.

I can get the ZO6 wheels but you will need to put the 17" wheels on front and rear with all wheel drive. Also, you would need some spacers on the rear. That would look nice. Contact me when you're ready.

What about the 18's? And the Z06 style? They are available 9 1/2 and 10 1/2 but I don't know what offsets. And what company makes these replica wheels? I know of 3 and only 1 is worth buying so which 1 are you selling?

Original Equipment Concepts makes the wheels. They were an OEM for corvette wheels for several years. 1 year warranty on finish and Life Time warranty on the structural. They only make the 18" in a 10.5" wide and I don't think it will work very well on the fronts but I don't know of anyone that has tried. I think it will rub well before full turn.

What about the 18's or the Z06 style? I know they are available 9 1/2 and 10 1/2 wide. There are 3 aftermarket producers of Vette replica wheels. Which brand do you have? Cuz only 1 of them is worth buying!
